The second figure kit I built, Horizon's The Thing followed the Ghost Rider on my workbench.  The one problem with this kit was getting it to balance on it's own two feet.  Before assembly I filled the right foot with plumber's putty (a non-hardening clay compound), attached the foot, layed the lower half on it's knees and poured plaster in so that it would only cover the front half ot the legs.  This gave it the necessary weight toward the front so that it wouldn't continue to fall backward when stood on it's feet.  The base was created in the same way as the Ghost Rider with a different graphic.
